Mobilize Chico formed following the elections in November, 2016. A great deal of Chicoans were upset with the outcome of the election and needed an outlet to help guide the emotions into positive action.

I joined the group's coordinating committee in December 2016 and became the online privacy & digital security advocate for Mobilize Chico. I took on the job of creating the face of the group through photos, social media content, videos, fliers, shirt & sticker designs, and the website.

Mobilize Chico is carrying on and still has a very active member base as we approach 2020. A number of smaller action groups have spun off with more focussed efforts towards causes like supporting women's health rights, local demonstration coordination, and efforts facillitate depolarized discussions between individuals on either side of the political aisle.
